Comprehensive Plan FAQ's

What is a Comprehensive Plan?

A Comprehensive Plan is a long-term roadmap for the community to follow as it considers decisions related to economic development, housing, and livability over the next 10-20 years. This plan will be the vision for the future of Richmond Heights and will include a strategic roadmap for getting there. The plan is a policy guide that provides the backbone for making development and zoning decisions. The planning process includes an assessment of existing conditions and issues, a summary of community engagement, consideration of future land use, and a set of collective objectives and key results. The Comprehensive Plan is not the implementation tool, but rather is meant to be the basis for things like a zoning ordinance and capital improvement plans.

How will the City use this Comprehensive Plan?
